More Big White More Big White

Sydney's Big White are deftly flying the flag right now for the latest incarnation of 1980s new wave.

The five-piece are dishing out dreamy pop motifs cut with their underlying surf punk vibe on their debut Teenage Dreams and it's fun, enjoyable stuff. Robert Smith/Simon Le Bon-like vocals simply add to the nostalgia especially on sunny single You Know I Love You, the attitude-ridden and guitar driven title track and the more blissed out Whatever Happens In The Night. You Don't Get Much offers some philosophical Bob Dylan-esque musings to round out a highly likeable debut.
