Album Review: Big Sean - I Decided

StarStarStarHalf Star

"The Sean Don has always had a tendency to ruin perfectly good songs with cringeworthy lines."

More Big Sean Big Sean Profile

Big Sean's celebrity has only increased in the past few years, peaking with his Saturday Night Live debut last month.

He's far from being the worst A-list rapper, and he's generally humble about his success. However, the Sean Don has always had a tendency to ruin perfectly good songs with cringeworthy lines. I Decided, with its sad cover and introspective tracks, feels very much like a continuation of 2015's Dark Sky Paradise. But despite the absence of earworms on par with I Don't Fuck With You or Blessings, the production is stronger and the beat change in Voices In My Head/Stick To The Plan is a minor miracle.
