Becky Lucas is one massively underrated comedian. She's sharp, witty, and at times even scathing in her brutally honest observations about the happenings in the world around her.
She talks about her high school bully, how Jay Z — a man she insists essentially resembles a candle — managed to snag Beyonce, and how men in Ford/Holden caps often accidentally walk into her shows searching for a rum and coke. Becky has an instinctive knack for making people laugh in a way that feels quite genuine and conversational. Naturally entertaining, self-deprecating and at times dark, her show is one of few the that doesn't ever feel scripted, overly staged or disingenuous.
Her one-liners are spot-on too, and her social commentary on everything from dating to social etiquette is polished and well-balanced with just the right amount of mischievous cheek. She's certainly a comic talent you'll want to keep tabs on.
