Album Review: Basement Jaxx - Junto Remixed

Junto felt like one of Basement Jaxx's more restrained long players delivering serviceable beats without the kinds of exuberant singles that featured on Remedy, Rooty and Kish Kash.

Handing Junto over to a load of hotly tipped young producers and DJs, the veteran dance producers deal 14 remixes that all come in all the classic house flavours that once dominated dancefloors. The loveable Martinez Brothers, illustrious Luciano and even Alex Metric among a cast of hundreds all manage to turn this album into one big house party, even though the production these days is bigger and crisper than their vintage counterparts.
