"'Jane’s Lament' is a whirring oscillation of gauze-wrapped dream states."

Built from looped improvisations between Tim Jenkins and Tom Crandles, Jane’s Lament is a whirring oscillation of gauze-wrapped dream states: a transcendental chrysalis of reverb, muted contemplation and the image of the sun slinking out of the sky under the cover of a pastel sky.

Morning hangs in the air like the ghostly remnants of a dream; You’re On My Mind drifts in Balearic R&B malaise before an LA-evoking beat sparks to life towards the end. The second half of the album stretches their twilit netherworld into a heady highway malaise. An assured debut.
