Young Tamworth musician Ashleigh Dallas is raw on her debut album. Her country music nous and her technical ability on the fiddle and banjo are outstanding but she's still trying to find her voice. Warm but yielding, highlights include The Candle and the infectious instrumental, Slapsister. Dallas may not grab the initiative immediately, but the strength of this album is in the details. Kasey Chambers, Bill Chambers, Busby Marou and co-producer Matt Fell have all had a hand in the record, but it would have benefited from a stronger personal stamp from this supremely talented artist.
