Melbourne producer Asdasfr Bawd has kept those talented fingers busy in between releases.
He lays down some sweet beats on his latest, where interesting woody textural glitch reigns but never threatens to overpower neat structures and sparse motifs. The opening title track fuses a rampant tribal-like beat with some edgy piping samples, standout Negative Energy's breathy female vocal sample rides well over pulsing taps and building buzz, and Packed Heat is a downshift with more ambient clicks and echoing wails. A light hand is the key here and it's this that will no doubt serve the young talent well.
