"A New Place 2 Drown is where your ears will go for a heroin overdose."

Greasy. Grimy. Sleazy. Glitchy. A New Place 2 Drown is all these things, yet it still makes you want to slide into bed with whoever you're with for a night of (very) heavy breathing.

It's nothing like Marshall's alter ego, King Krule, where guitar and coherent vocals reign. The collaborative setting in which he made the record with his brother, Jack, has no doubt influenced the final product, with distorted vocals and slow-jam beats reminiscent of Clipping. and Shabazz Palaces. Glitch and fuzz are the order of the day, and A New Place 2 Drown is where your ears will go for a heroin overdose.
