A fresh approach to British tech-metal.

More pop than punk.

This record, with all its simultaneous sophistication and honesty, truly is a triumph on all accounts.

The record is predominantly driven by heady rhythms, which contributes to much of the trip hop essence and the marvelous percussive trickery scattered throughout the record.

Considering Parkway is touring with grander production values, they required the songs to match their vision. Now, they have them.

For My Parents overdoes it. It pushes the drama (and the volume) too far, taking the emotional cues of post rock and blowing them up to almost grotesque proportions.

Light Years definitely achieves the cohesive feel the band were going for but much of the mellow dub sounds that were so strong on their previous work have been put aside for a lighter synth-based vibe.

Don Broco have successfully created a cohesive and textured album that hits all the markers necessary for a great album.

The heavy hand of this Canadian producer has provided an album full of diverse concepts and will either be loathed or loved.
