"A cover of Ginuwine’s 'Pony' was a crowd favourite"
Three-piece Abacaxuva launched this night with their new song Uppercut from their latest EP YA AHA.
Bubbles That Burst and Ship To Shore took over Mojo's with their surf-rock vibes as lead singer (known only as) Rex danced and shook his luscious blonde curly locks. Rex invited the bar attender known as Storm Wyness to duet on Cookie, turns out it's a fun cute couple song.
With only a guitar in hand and some pedals, the turtleneck-loving Bec Sandridge owned the spotlight with her captivating vocals as she sung Cars from her Wild Heart EP. She treated the adoring crowd with new songs High Tide and Weekend, which took over the room with its electronic synths.
New songs kept every worshipper in the house satisfied.
As the crowd packed Mojo's small intimate room, Abbe May graced the stage dressed in a stylish black suit to kick start the last leg of her Are We Flirting? Australian Tour with the first Perth show sold out. With the smoke machine choking the stage, May launched into You Could Be Mine and No 1 Killa getting the crowd all pumping and swaying before TROUBLE got things moving even though it was tightly pack crowd.

After taking a two-year break, tonight’s return gave the audience a taste of her anticipated forthcoming album Bitchcraft, as she asked the crowd, "so, are we flirting?" The room filled with squeals of excitement, “I’ll take that as a 'yes' then,” May said as she smiled ear to ear before launching into new single Are We Flirting? The crowd really started to move and dance, before May treated them to another new song Doomsday as she got up and close with fans.
May’s cover of Ginuwine’s Pony was a crowd favourite.
May’s cover of Ginuwine’s Pony was a crowd favourite, as things got hot and steamy with a few audience members, while others sang from the top of their lungs. Taurus Chorus saw guitars blazing, as May and her guitarist Matt Gio gave it they’re all before grinding up on each other as their guitar riffs became insane.
Walking back onstage for encore, May whipped out one more new song Can You Put Your Finger On It sending the crowd into excitement as they knew it was the last song of the night, no one wanted it to end. Abbe May pulled out an incredible intimate set, with enough guitar riffs and new songs to keep every worshipper in the house satisfied. All they have to do now is wait for the release of Bitchcraft.
