A Lady's Guide To The Art Of Being A Wingman

The Desperettes: Daisy, Delilah and Deedee (Belinda Hanne Reid, Lisa Woodbrook and Natasha York) show the Perth Fringe Festival how the oh-so-masculine role of wingman is handled by women.

Dressed in matching suits, topped with Marge Simpson-esque pink beehive hairdos, the trio deliver a cabaret of reworked songs, including Aretha Franklin and LMFAO. Horrendously clichéd pickup lines are punctuated with audience participation, as unsuspecting men are dragged on stage with hilarious consequences. The show is equal parts jokes and the honest familiarity of the pickup scene. Male cringe factor: high.
