'It's A Demonic Art Form': PNAU's Nick Littlemore On Making Music And Tripping Balls

Your Six Second Video Could Win You $5,000 At #TROPVINE

"Constraint inspires creativity."

Good things come in short packages. #TROPVINE is the perfect example of this — six second Vine videos to showcase your filmmaking prowess to the Tropfest gods, in the hopes of winning the $5,000 grand prize.

Entries have just opened for the worldwide ultra-short-film competition, forcing creatives to think even more creatively in order to fulfil the requirements of the Tropfest Signature Item (TSI, something crucial all submitted videos must include) in only six short seconds — this year's TSI is 'CARD', so entrants can interpret it as they wish by including a business card, birthday card, sim card, and so forth in their videos.

Created in collaboration with Twitter, Jennie Sagar, Twitter Australia's Music, Entertainment and Events Partnerships Manager, said of the competition: "Vine creators are a community of some of the most creative minds in the world, and we wanted to create an opportunity to showcase their talents.

"In line with the Twitter ethos that constraint inspires creativity, we thought it would be amazing to partner with Tropfest, the world's largest short film festival, to create an even shorter film festival."

Also up for grabs in the grand prize is a Nikon 1 V3 camera with a 10-30mm lens, a one year Spotify premium membership and a trip to Sydney for Tropfest 2015, where they'll put you up at the QT Sydney.
