This year's event will be "An Event Of Stories, Love & Tales"
One of Sydney's prime creative suburbs, chock full of hipster-cafes, quirky boutiques, galleries and a slew of amazing restaurants and bars, has revealed the 2015 date of their annual Surry Hills Festival as Saturday, 26 September.
The Festival, boasting the all-encompassing theme "An Event Of Stories, Love & Tales", will be the hallmark of all that is diverse, colourful and innovative about the suburb — and they're calling for vendors, bands, DJs and local businesses to submit their applications and get involved.
The family-friendly event will run from 10am to 10pm and will bring live music, pop up spaces, food, art and market stalls to Surry Hills, with all proceeds heading straight to the community programs that the Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre host throughout the year.
In the lead-up to the Festival, creative workshops will be held on the first Saturday of each month leading up to the event — that is, 6 June, 4 July, 1 August and 5 September — at the Surry Hills Markets.
