Xavier Rudd Announces New Album Spirit Bird

Surfer, activist and multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd has announced his seventh studio album, Spirit Bird, which is to be released Friday 8 June through Universal.

The album's lead single Follow The Sun is Rudd's highest selling single to date. This morning's announcement points to Spirit Bird as being his "most moving" to date, even going as far to describe the record as one of "importance".

Rudd once again fuses elements of folk, blues guitar and yidaki (a type of didgeridoo).
