Michele Porto to join Wonderlick Entertainment
Management company Wonderlick Entertainment have announced today that long-time Universal employee Michele Porto will join the company as the General Manager Marketing & Promotion.
Effective from Monday 27 May, Porto is currently the Marketing Manager at Universal Music Australia where she has spent over 15 years working with labels such as Dew Process, Modular and Ministry Of Sound. At Wonderlick – home to Boy & Bear, Grinspoon, Josh Pyke and others – she will manage all the marketing, promotion and label management aspects for the management roster and the Wonderlick Recording Company, which is a joint venture with Sony.
Founded by Directors Stu MacQueen and Gregg Donovan, Wonderlick also has a publishing joint venture with EMI, which is now part of Sony/ATV.
MacQeen said, “Michele brings a wealth of knowledge to our company. She has a real understanding not only of how to build artists careers from scratch, but also how to maximise opportunities for established artists. Frankly we had a wish list with one name on it and we are thrilled that Michele is joining us.”

The company is gearing up for a busy six months with new releases from Boy & Bear, Josh Pyke, Grinspoon, The Paper Kites, Marvin Priest, Max & Bianca and Jackson McLaren on the cards.
Airbourne's recently-released album Black Dog Barking is currently number one on the iTunes Rock Charts in the UK, France, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden and Switzerland.
Porto added on the new role, “I am very excited at this great opportunity and am looking forward to working with the team at Wonderlick to help build and develop both our company and our artists. Wonderlick is a great home for Australian artists and I am thrilled to be joining them.”

New singings to he Wonderlick divisions are expected to be confirmed in the near future as well.
