The first ever Women In Music Mentor Program will launch this year.
Presented by the Australian Independent Labels Association (AIR) with support from the Australian Government, the four-year nationwide program is open to all female, female-identifying and non-binary participants working in or aspiring to work in the Australian music industry and will assist with career and leadership progression and focus on developing skills in contract negotiation, financial literacy, marketing and leadership.
Mentees will be paired with mentors over a five-month period and engage in workshops with industry professionals.
“We look forward to delivering this program over the next four years and to working collaboratively with industry professionals, mentors and mentees across Australia,” AIR General Manager Maria Amato said.
Applications for the 2020 round of mentorships are open now and close on 31 July.
