WOMADelaide has today revealed the first 20 acts for its 2020 line-up, which includes a stack of huge international and local favourites.
Leading next year's event, taking place from 6-9 March at Adelaide's Botanic Park, is Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer and Grammy Award winner Mavis Staples, as well as "The Golden Voice of Africa" Salif Keita and Aussie heavyweights, The Cat Empire and Hiatus Kaiyote.
Also announced on the bill today includes Sydney songwriter Odette, as well as Orquesta Akokán, Bill Callahan, Aldous Harding and Sleaford Mods.

“We are thrilled to be announcing a program which includes artists at the peak of their craft exemplified by Salif Keita and Mavis Staples, as well as Orquesta Akokán – a stunning tribute to the Cuban big band era - and a powerful call to arms on climate change in As the World Tipped,” WOMADelaide Director, Ian Scobie, said.
40 additional acts are expected to be announced on the line-up in late November.
