Congratulations to The Medics who won Album Of The Year, New Talent Of The Year and Song Of The Year at this year's NIMAs.

The Medics have scooped up three of the top awards at the 2012 National Indigenous Music Awards held last night in Darwin, Northern Territory. The debut record from the Queensland four-piece, Foundations, has received much acclaim and success, and won them Album Of The Year, New Talent Of The Year and Song Of The Year (for Griffin).

The Artist Of The Year award went to Gurrumul Yunupingu for the second year in a row, whose collaboration Bayini with Sarah Blasko also won him Cover Art Of The Year - a second NIMA for artist/designer Carlo Santone from Blue King Brown.

Also amongst the winners, Arnhem Land band East Journey nabbed NT Film Clip Of The Year for their film clip Ngarrpiya, as well as the prestigious G.R. Bururrawanga Memorial Award for outstanding contribution to the NT music industry.
