WIN: Tickets To Art Of Music Live

14 June 2013 | 3:13 pm | Staff Writer

Your chance to witness the songs that have inspired some awesome paintings

The unique fundraiser initiative Art Of Music is doing things a little differently this year - they're putting on live show with a bunch of great Aussie musicians who'll perform the tracks that have inspired this year's art pieces.

If you haven't heard of AOM, they raise money for charity by combining visual arts and music. A number of prominent artists create paintings, all inspired by a classic Australian song. For example, Amanda Marburg has created Flame Trees, based on the track from legends Cold Chisel.

Proceeds from the paintings sold go to Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, who assist those with physical and intellectual disabilities, autism, learning difficulties, trauma, illness, dementia and behaviour disorders.

TheMusic has one double pass to the new live event, which will take place at The Studio, Sydney Opera House on Monday 24 June. The tickets will also get you into the exclusive after party at Opera Bar, where you'll rub shoulders with musicians such as Tim Finn, Katie Noonan, Iva Davies and Josh Pyke, who'll all be performing on the day. Other acts who will take the stage are Dave Mason, Dragon, Suze DeMarchi, Pete O'Doherty & Reg Mombassa and Gondwana Children's Choir.
