The Melburnian EDM wunderkind will play nine shows next month

More Will Sparks More Will Sparks

Melburnian EDM prodigy Will Sparks is headed back to Australia, capping off a massive three-month run of international festival and club appearances with a triumphant homecoming tour in June.

From his humble beginnings not that long ago to now being renowned as the pioneering poster boy of the Melbourne Sound, Sparks has garnered himself an impressive amount of praise in a relatively short period of time, having toured both North America and Europe twice each within a year, earning an appearance at Jay-Z's Made In America festival, and playing a set at EDM mecca Tomorrowland – among other accomplishments.

You'll have your chance to see what all the fuss is about, if you're not already on top of it, when he returns to Australia for nine shows next month. The tour kicks off in his home town of Melbourne at Billboard/Lucky Ent's Lucky Thursdays on June 5, before rolling somewhat circuitously through Darwin and Adelaide before heading to Brisbane and the Gold Coast for three shows on the same day (June 8 – one GC, two Bris; one U18) and finishing up with the trifecta of a show in Melbourne's suburb of Narre Warren, one in Canberra, and wrapping up in Perth on June 14.

If you're feeling impatient, you'll be happy to know Sparks has also recently released a new single, When The Lights Go Out,  his second release via Ultra Music/Sony Australia following the immensely popular Catch. You can have a listen to the new track below:

Sparks is currently working on his debut album and has several collaborations in the works, so it's been suggested that these June shows may be your only opportunity to hear all of Sparks' new material, for a little while at least. You can check the gig guide or his site for more details about the tour.
