Is this the best festival line-up ever?

What can only be described as a ‘90s emo kid’s wet dream, US festival When We Were Young has been announced today and its line-up is ABSOLUTELY PACKED.

With a who’s who of ‘90s and early ‘00s icons gracing the line-up, including My Chemical Romance, Paramore, AFI, The Used, Bring Me The Horizon, Taking Back Sunday, A Day To Remember, Jimmy Eat World, Bright Eyes and stacks more, many are saying it sounds too good to be true.

That’s despite the fact that the Las Vegas festival, set to go down in October, is a Live Nation event and artists on the bill are sharing the news themselves:

Some of the responses to My Chemical Romance’s post include:

"60 bands in what, 12 hours? with 3 stages? non-refundable tickets during a pandemic?"

"I'm 40 and been to enough concerts and fests to know this sounds impossible. Even with multiple stages. And I love a lot of these bands, just doesn't seem possible..."

"How is this going to work? ~67 bands, 3 stages, 12 hours. The math doesn't check out???"

“It’s just like Warped tour. All the bands besides My Chem and Paramore are all gonna be playing at the same ti and they’re gonna get like 30 minute sets. It’s a garbage setup. I would go if it was an actual festival.”

The event's ticket policy states that "all sales are final - no refunds or exchanges" and with Omicron still rampant in the US and the risk of another COVID variant appearing at any moment being very real, you might want to have a good think before locking down tickets and flights.
