Weatherbox sign to Triple Crown, LP3 on the way

It was announced today on AbsolutePunk that San Diego alternative rockers, Weatherbox, have signed to Triple Crown Records.

It was also announced that their third album is on the way, following 2007's 'American Art' and 2009's 'The Cosmic Drama'.

The statement read:

"Nearly four years since the non-release of their mercurial “The Cosmic Drama” LP, Weatherbox has a new label having inked with Favorite Gentlemen/Triple Crown Records [The Dear Hunter, Caspian, O’Brother]. “I saw the name and was hesitant to give it a chance,” states Triple Crown owner Fred Feldman, “but when I listened to the demos for the new record I was blown away. This record will surprise a lot of people.” Triple Crown will be partnering with Atlanta-based, Favorite Gentleman to release the new full length in early 2014."

Frontman, Brian Warren, said this about the signing:

“I’m blown away that Triple Crown digs what we do. We’ve stuck to our proverbial guns through the years and having their [Triple Crown] support is extremely validating.”
