Here's why.
In the last day or so, a poster has been doing the rounds online suggesting that Eminem is heading to Australia this year for a final tour of the country.
Now, while we know the US rapper has plans to release a new album in 2017 and a tour is completely possible, we have to call bullshit on this particular poster.
The image in question can actually be found on the Deviant Art website, which (according to the website) says that it was uploaded by Ali Chegini (aka alichegini), an 'artist, hobbyist and digital art[ist]' from Iran.

Although it's called 'Eminem 2015', Chegini only appears to have been active on the site for three months, so it would have only been posted at some point in that time frame.
That image, which was used for the basis of the 'tour poster', appears to be a composite of two other pictures:

C'mon, do you REALLY think Eminem's camp would be OK with that kind of promo?
A few figures in the Aussie music scene have also shared the poster, including Hip Hop KNECT CEO Troy Furner and MASTACRAFT, with weirdly similar captions.
Furthermore, TEG Dainty, who promoted Eminem's last two Aussie tours in 2011 and 2014, confirmed to The Music today that they are not aware of the poster doing the rounds.
Though we can't necessarily guarantee it, we think it's a far safer bet to ignore this and hold out for when a real tour announce is confirmed.
But, hey, who knows? Maybe the word has gotten out and Eminem really is about to announce an Australian tour in the coming days, weeks or months.
Stay tuned.
