Waxahatchee Announces 2024 Australian Tour

Waxahatchee will be touring all Australian states, unveiling the tunes of her latest project, 'Tigers Blood'.

American indie darling Waxahatchee is set to return to Australia after six years, touring her latest album, Tigers Blood, in December.

Presented in partnership with Handsome Tours, Double J and ALWAYS LIVE, the tour is set to grace Perth’s Astor Theatre on November 29th, 2024, followed by The Tivoli in Brisbane on December 1st, and the Sydney Opera House on December 2nd.

Southern states of Victoria and Tasmania will both get to see the Lilacs singer from December 5th, 6th and 8th in Melbourne’s The Forum, a quick festival stint at Meredith Music Festival, before crossing the Bass Strait to play Hobart’s Odeon Theatre, respectively.

Waxahatchee, which is the moniker of songstress Katie Crutchfield, hasn’t seen the glimmer of Australian shores since touring in 2018 with musician and longtime partner Kevin Morby.

At the time, the duo performed their Americana tunes through Australia’s east coast before visiting Kiwi fans in Auckland. Openers for 2024’s string of shows have yet to be revealed.

The tour comes in celebration of Waxahatchee’s sixth album, Tigers Blood, which has been met with a merited reception since its release in March. The album reached #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart and placed in the top 10 of the Emerging Artist Chart, proving that the slow shift from waify indie tunes to folky alt-country ballads has served the singer well.
