Watch TV On The Radio Reveal New Songs At US Festival

The American indie-rock intelligentsia bust out three fresh cuts at BottleRock Napa

More TV on the Radio More TV on the Radio

It was a huge couple of days in the Napa Valley this weekend past as the Californian wine county welcomed back the annual BottleRock Napa festival. The bill of entertainment came at the hands of an esteemed line-up of 60 acts including Weezer, OutKast, LL Cool J, Robert DeLong, Matt And Kim, Thee Oh Sees, and The Cure, who had their Friday-night set cut short for breaking curfew.

Also among the festival's voluminous ranks were indie-rock stalwarts TV On The Radio, who used the opportunity to unveil three new songs for the musically ravenous crowd - songs that, thanks to the magic of the internet, Stereogum managed to capture on film (well, the first and third - the second video was taken by an unnamed fan in the crowd).

It's festival footage, so don't go in expecting A-level audio, but the sound is clear enough to get a sufficiently thorough idea of what's likely in store for us on the next LP from the TVOTR camp, whenever that may drop. The first track angles for the mellower vibes one tends to find in the band's more introspective moments, while the consequent two both tap into their well-honed mastery of all that straight-up rocks.

In the meantime, you may as well get acquainted via the videos below - who knows; the performance might make for an interesting comparison point by the time the final versions are released.
