A biographical drama about the life and times of Whitney Houston, I Wanna Dance With Somebody also stars Ashton Sanders as Bobby Brown, Clarke Peters as Whitney's father John Houston, Tamara Turnie as Whitney's mother, Cissy Houston, and Stanley Tucci as the legendary record producer and industry powerhouse, Clive Davis.
Written by Academy Award® Nominee Anthony McCarten, the film will take audiences on an emotional, energetic journey through Houston’s career and music.
The film is being produced and released by Sony, who have provided the following description, I Wanna Dance With Somebody is a “no-holds-barred portrait of the complex and multifaceted woman behind The Voice.”
The film will be released on December 21.
