“It was so much fun filming with Steve, and we’d welcome him as an honorary Yellow Wiggle anytime!"
To celebrate the release of Minions: The Rise Of Gru, Oscar nominee and cult adored comedian Steve Carell has attempted to team up with Aussie icons The Wiggles.
He's asked the band to join the squad as their newest member and is determined to prove to them he has what it takes. The video sees Carell, who is a "huge fan of their work" and saw them perform in 1991, call the band.
"I have a wealth of experience across the performing arts and most recently have been focussing on my acting," he begins, in a job interview tone.
"Well see the thing is when I heard the news about the yellow Wiggle leaving the group I had to get in touch and audition for the roll."
"The thing is, we already have a new yellow Wiggle," the group responded.
Founding member of The Wiggles, Anthony Field said, “It was so much fun filming with Steve, and we’d welcome him as an honorary Yellow Wiggle anytime! He knew all the words to our songs, and we’re big fans of Minions, but we might have to have a word about his allergy to fruit salad!”
