The Sydney muso has been making some serious waves of late
In-demand Sydney-bred songstress Starley has been crushing all that has crossed her path in recent months, ever since breaking into both the UK and US charts late last year with her now-ubiquitous single, Call On Me.
After climbing further to crack the British top 10, appearing at SXSW and making her US TV debut with a spot on Good Morning America back in February, the acclaimed singer-songwriter has added to her constantly growing list of achievements by nabbing a coveted spot on popular late-night talk-show Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
(The single is still doing well across the Atlantic, too, rising eight places in the UK charts this week to re-enter the top 40 at #32.)
Starley opened her performance seemingly defying gravity, sitting cross-legged ostensibly atop thin air, supported only by a pole on which her right hand rests.

Backed by a team of instrumentalists and animated back-up dancers throughout, she soon shed the flotation device along with her jacket (during a smart cutaway on the part of the camera-person), ramping up the energy of the gig with some expressive body-work of her own while apparently effortlessly nailing her vocals.
It's clear that the young Australian is having the time of her life at the moment, and, with a ream of Stateside shows already behind her and more yet to come — all buoyed by some very deserved, ever-increasing buzz — it's not difficult to see why.
