It looks like the fine folks at WEDIDIT and DEF JAM RECORDINGS, particularly LA producer SHLOHMO and rapper/singer JEREMIH are getting into the Xmas spirit. Even if it is a VHS-quality, askewed, weed smoke-addled, version of Xmas. Oh yeah, and there's a topless stripper.
The video is a short and sweet clip of SHLOHMO and JEREMIH dozing around the Xmas tree, supposedly getting into the Xmas spirit. The editing and overall quality of the video is really choppy and messy, in true WEDIDIT style it feels like a crusty old VHS tape found in someones attic.
The clip leaves an unsettling feeling in your stomach, whether it's from the static-y white noise ripping up the screen or the screwed and slowed-down version of 'I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas' playing as the soundtrack is unclear, but the feeling is there nonetheless - and I love it.
This video is a premonition for things to come in the new year, as SHLOHMO and JEREMIH have announced a collaborative EP in the works, set for release in February 2014! Get hyped!
