Lamb of God's Randy Blythe made a special fan's dreams come true when he partnered with the Living The Dream Foundation last weekend.

Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe made a fan’s dreams come true at Welcome to Rockville Festival in Florida last weekend (9 May) when he joined forces with the Living The Dream Foundation.

Earlier today, the band shared footage of the moment Blythe met Jessyca, a single mother and devoted fan who’s facing stage 4 breast cancer. They talked and hugged just hours before Lamb of God took to the stage.

After Jessyca mentioned that she and her friend, Kody, shaved their heads when she started chemotherapy—Kody did it in solidarity—Blythe said he brought clippers in case she wanted to shave his head, too.

Not only did Jessyca shave the vocalist’s head, but he also rubbed his head with hers immediately afterwards and right before he jumped on stage. While he was on stage, Blythe told the audience about Jessyca and led a “fuck cancer” chant.

Following their set, Lamb of God drummer Art Cruz went to Jessyca and gave her the gloves he wore while performing. She also received a drumstick and a guitar pick, and Blythe said he’d send her some books from his collection.

“I just want to say thank you, Randy, so much,” Jessyca said, describing the frontman as an “amazing soul” and mentioning how good it felt to be “seen” by someone on his level.

Meet Jessyca, a single mother courageously battling Stage 4 Breast Cancer. Despite living with pain every day, she fights for her son and family. For her Dream Day at @RockvilleFest she got to hang backstage with Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe.

 

After hearing that both Jessyca and Kody shaved their heads together when she began chemotherapy, Randy offered to let Jessyca shave his head in solidarity - a moment they will never forget.

 

To end the night she hung out side stage, where Randy gave a heartfelt shoutout and led the crowd in a powerful chant of “F*CK CANCER” in her honor.

The footage was unveiled just days after Lamb of God announced that they’ll return to Australia this October alongside fellow US metal outfit, Trivium.

While Lamb of God are recognised for an abundance of classics, including Laid to Rest, Redneck, Walk with Me in Hell, and Now You've Got Something to Die For, in 2026, they released another collection of hits with their new album, Into Oblivion.

Their razor-sharp fusion of grooves, metal mayhem and raucous energy has kept them as one of the world’s most loved metal bands for more than two decades, and with this tour, Lamb of God have secured their first Australian headline run in nearly ten years.
