There was a beauty in the line up's curation, full of club stalwarts and up and comers with truely no expectations or restrictions.
Fan favourite local DJ dameeeela had the pleasure of hosting a Keep Hush takeover in Naarm/Melbourne last weekend, with the iconic live series no sitting on YouTube.
The platform runs weekly live streams that showcase underground dance music and its communities across the globe, as well as one off pop ups, workshops and special projects.
You’d be hard pressed to find an act more exciting out of so called Australia than Yuggera woman, multi-hyphenate DJ, producer and radio host dameeeeela. Her passionate rife for experimentation and diversity, both in her community work and DJ sets has already seen her rise to the upper-echelons of local underground dance and is one of the most adored and respected names in the country.
dameeeeela is now beginning her fully fledged takeover of dance music, entering the world of production. The move acts as a monumental moment in Australian music, the beginning of an era for the local artist that is taking her from underground legend to national headline sensation. While this is a big call, her debut single The Shake Up featuring Tjaka is evidence of this. She's added another career highlight to her already glowing track record, curating one of the strongest live streams on so called Australian land.
For their Naarm stream, dameeeela took the reins of the curation and DJed b2b with Joshua Amour at Sub Club alongside Killjoy, Ramsey, Foura, St4cey4101, Crescendoll, C.Frim and Kimi De La Haye.
The evening was jam packed with turbo dane tunes with no holding back with the energy in the room being absolutely electric.
