Damn, that's a gold-ass honky
Slighted Morrissey opener Kristeen Young appeared on US late-night talk show The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson this week to perform her most recent single, Pearl Of A Girl, but she brought along a particularly special live band to do so, comprised of the irrepressible Dave Grohl and his Foo Fighters bandmate — and Germs founder — Pat Smear (featuring "Megan" on bass).
It's been nostalgically pleasing to see Grohl behind a kit so often these days, and it's even more so in this performance given its disparity to the usual sort of vibe he usually hovers around in his own songs, with Young's upbeat track giving him ample opportunity to flex some ultra-fun disco-beat muscles.
Young herself might be an acquired taste, but if you could imagine a world where Tsunami Bomb was fronted by Bjork, then you'll probably be into it.
