Watch Damon Albarn Perform Blur's 'Song 2' Solo

Boston fans of Blur frontman Damon Albarn were treated to something a little different at the end of his show in the city earlier this week, with the muso busting out the band's biggest hit Song 2.

Fan footage has been uploaded to Boston-based website Vanyaland that shows Albarn performing the track - said to be the first time ever without his Blur bandmates, according to Pitchfork. During the song, Albarn was said to be wearing an elephant hat that was given to him by someone in the crowd - we don't know what this has to do with anything but hey, we thought you should know. Check it out - the footage and sound aren't the best but we'll take what we can get:

Albarn is currently out on the tour circuit in the US promoting his solo record Everyday Robots, which was released in April.
