Warner Music Australia Announces Staff Promotions

"It’s great fun to be part of such a crucial, hard-working team that really delivers for our artists.”

Warner Music Australia has announced that Sydney-based staff members Huw Araniego-Ellis and Thomas Shannon have been promoted to Senior Marketing Managers.

Araniego-Ellis joined the company as a Marketing Manager in 2015 after working for streaming service Guvera, touring company and artist booking agency Niche Productions and more, while Shannon joined in 2017 and has since looked after artists such as Cardi B, Charlie Puth, Charli XCX, Client Liaison, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran and more.

They will both remain in Sydney and report to Head of Marketing Dan Ellis, who oversees Warner Music Australia’s frontline releases.

“It’s a real privilege to work with our amazing artists from Australia and beyond,” Araniego-Ellis said.

“You can’t go wrong when you’ve got music this good and great collaboration from our teams around the world. We’ve got projects ranging from feature-length films to pop stars with a social message. My work’s rewarding and fun, and I’m looking forward to the new challenges ahead.”

Shannon added: “My work’s all about connecting artists and fans in innovative and meaningful ways. That means delivering homegrown success and global stories for our local talent, as well as ensuring Australia plays a pivotal part in the international success of some of the world’s biggest stars. It’s great fun to be part of such a crucial, hard-working team that really delivers for our artists.”
