The Voice Australia will begin filming its new season in Sydney next month, and audience tickets are now available as those filming dates are rapidly approaching.
TV Tonight notes that the Blind Auditions begin on Monday, 3 April, at Carriageworks in Eveleigh. The audience tickets are free. However, they do come with terms and conditions.
Firstly, ticket registration is not a guaranteed ticket offer. Due to demand, it’s just a “registration of interest”, and That's The Ticket will serve tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. Successful applicants will be sent a ticket invitation approximately one to two weeks prior to the event.
Tickets are not redeemable for cash and can not be sold on a secondary marketplace, but if you can’t make it, That's The Ticket does offer transferable tickets.
You can email audience@thatstheticket.com.au to change the name on your ticket.
Minimum age limits for shows are enforceable - however, the website doesn’t note what said age limit is, which might be filled out during the application process.
You can apply for your audience ticket here.
Earlier this week, The Voice Australia announced its newest judge: Jason Derulo, who has replaced Keith Urban in the big red chair.
The US music sensation will join Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, and fellow international star, the UK’s Rita Ora, as a coach in this year’s season. No date for the season has been set yet, but filming begins in Sydney in a few weeks.
“I’ve always loved The Voice, and Australia happens to be one of my favourite places in the world. I can’t wait to hear all the amazing talent down under,” Derulo said in a statement.
Seven’s Chief Content Officer of entertainment programming, Angus Ross, added in a press release: “The Voice is one of the biggest entertainment brands globally and in Australia, and we are very excited to welcome one of the biggest stars in the world into the Seven family and to The Voice Australia.
“Jason is a sensational addition to our line-up of superstar coaches Jess, Rita and Guy and we can’t wait to see who they turn their iconic red chairs for this season.”
The new season of The Voice Australia will premiere later this year.
