After the success of the debut Higher Ground music manager's workshop last year, WAM is has announced that this year self-managed artists will have a similar opportunity in Higher Note, with applications now open for a new workshop series aimed at developing the careers of self-managed artists who are in their early to mid stages.
The program is open to all WA-based musicians and will offer unprecedented access to career advice and networking opportunities.
It will be facilitated by Scott Adam (Coordinator of Music Business CIT, ex-manager Ruby Boots) and features presentations from Cath Haridy (manager Eskimo Joe, Adalita, Bob Evans, Jebediah, Kathryn Rollins, Kav Temperley, Tigertown), Tom Harris (Managing Director White Sky, manager The Little Stevies), Kester Sappho (Tour Manager, John Butler Trio), Dixie Battersby (EMI), Clive Hodson (Perfect Pitch Publishing) plus many others who are leaders in the industry, covering topics including Strategy, Publicity & Social Media, Business Management, Touring, Legal and much more.
