WAAX Drop Surprise 'Holy Sick' EP & Tour Dates

The Brissy upstarts will play five shows down the east and south coasts this December

More WAAX WAAX

Ascendant Queenslanders WAAX crushed it at Brisbane's recent BIGSOUND Live showcase event, and they're capitalising on the fresh wave of momentum behind them with the surprise announcement today of brand new EP Holy Sick alongside a run of accompanying tour dates this December.

The new work is as frenetic and fierce as you'd expect from the up-and-coming outfit, with just shy of 12 minutes' worth of WAAXy goodness of the ilk dripping from early singles I For An Eye and Wisdom Teeth, both of which feature on the Holy Sick EP alongside its title track and final cut CC Thugs. Give it a burl below!

You can grab Holy Sick via iTunes now, to give yourself plenty of opportunity to learn some words to get all shouty (in a good way) when WAAX set off for their impending sojourn in support of the new release; they get under way at Melbourne's Workers Club on Friday 4 December, and head on with intent to melt some faces in Adelaide (Ed Castle, 5 December), Sydney (Oxford Art Gallery, 10 December), at home in Brisbane (Black Bear Lodge, 11 December) and finally going out with a bang at Coffs Harbour's Festival Of The Sun on Saturday 12 December.

Tickets for all shows (bar Sydney) are available via OzTix. For more information, see theGuide or check The Music App.
