Wavves, The Wombats & More Added to 2015 Falls Festival Line-ups

The annual event is ensuring there is no better way to usher in the new year

Fans headed to Byron Bay at the end of December for this year's Falls Music & Arts Festival will welcome in 2016 to the sounds of acclaimed UK indie-pop lords The Wombats, event organisers have confirmed.

Although the Glitterbug scribes will also be making an appearance at Marion Bay's event — as well as west-coast sister-shindig Southbound — they'll be ringing in the new year in Byron Bay alongside fellow newly signed artists Wavves and Leon Bridges, both of whom will be appearing at all three Falls events this December/January.

Also joining the impressive existing cabal of artists set to bring Falls to life — which already boasts the A-list likes of Foals, Bloc Party, Disclosure and Birds Of Tokyo, not to mention a healthy spread of comedy — are a batch of locally bred acts bound exclusively for Byron Bay, including Miami Horror, Tijuana Cartel, Bootleg Rascal, Goons Of Doom, Spirit Of Akasha and some pretty damn killer New Year's Eve entertainment courtesy of Peking Duk and Brisbane party-starters Bullhorn.

The 2015 Falls Music & Arts Festival will be held in Lorne, Marion Bay and Byron Bay from 28 December-1 January, 29 December-1 January, and 31 December-3 January respectively.
