2025 is shaping out to be a stellar year for Sudanese-Australian rap artist Vv Pete as she continues her single rollout with the unabashed club rap anthem GO DUMB, featuring UTILITY and Brodinski. The song is the artist’s second single leading to her highly anticipated debut project VARVIE WORLD later this year.
Unleashing with her iconic aggressive wit and playful lyricism, Vv Pete stands ten-toes down in the face of criticism on this track. In true Vv Pete character, the artist vows to harness any kind of negative energy and transform it into power and energy that fuels her genuine confidence and strength. Her instructions of “Go dumb” on the hook flow vehemently over heavy bass trap production, carving itself out to be a dedicated club banger.
“When the Varvies hear GO DUMB I want them to feel happy. I want them to feel at home when they listen to my songs. Release any sadness that you are going through, let go of your anxiety, and please remember to go dumb,” said the artist.
Teaming up with her in-house Trackwork producer and frequent collaborator UTILITY and Paris-via-Atlanta-based artist Brodinski, GO DUMB explores the core foundation of VARVIE WORLD’s sonic crossover of club and rap. Drawing on analog synths, and working them into the fabric of trap rhythms and subtones, both producers have been able to create a unique unifying of regional sounds from Paris and Atlanta to Sydney’s new wave of club heaters.
“Working with Brodinski is the easiest thing ever,” said UTILITY.
“I’ve been a fan of his work for a long time and was stoked when we started working together for this project because everything just flowed. I think the Varvies are going to go dumb. It’s the perfect Vv, quintessential Vv - party energy, it’s interrogative, aggressive.”

Vv Pete has already had an epic start to the year, having released her Gqom heater WASSA into the world in January, which garnered worldwide acclaim; from being co-signed by R&B singer SZA, being played on BBC Sounds with DJ Target and Power 98.7 in Johannesburg, to soundtracking New York Fashion Week shows. It truly is Vv Pete’s world, and not only are we living in it, but we’re basking in the opportunity to experience it.
