Volumes Festival Drops Killer All-Aussie Line-up Ft Gold Class, Fortunes, RVG, Hatchie & More

Oxford Square is gonna sound super-good come this August

The annual Volumes Festival returns to Sydney for its third consecutive year in August, and — keeping with its established history — its organisers have conscripted a seriously impressive line-up of crowd-favourite and up-and-coming Aussie acts to bring the noise.

Spread out across Oxford Square and encompassing venues such as Oxford Art Factory, The Cliff Dive and Brighton Up Bar, Volumes will this year welcome the likes of post-punk luminaries Gold Class, electro-hip hop duo Fortunes., Sydney songsmith Jonti, prolific Melburnians The Ocean Party, veteran electronic muso Lucy Cliche, rapper Genesis Owusu, and a stack of other established drawcards, alongside emergent must-sees such as Qld's Hatchie, Victorian four-piece RVG, Canberra alt-rockers Moaning Lisa and heaps more.

With further artists yet to be announced, all said and done, the festival will host more than 50 of the nation's finest independent musical creatives. Little wonder, then, that in its short lifespan so far, it's already been nominated for an FBi SMAC Award (Best Live Event) and Concrete Playground's Best Of Sydney (Best New Event).

To ensure the festival remains as inclusive as possible for punters as well as its artists, the organisers are running a 'pay what you can' and early-bird ticketing option this year. Unsurprisingly, the first round of both options has already sold out, though the second round is newly under way today.
