Chris Sebastian Advances & Local Singers Form New Duo On 'The Voice'

It was a big night for artists on The Voice following The Battles. 

Contestant Chris Sebastian has secured his place in the competition, going through to the Play-Offs round following a vote from judge Kelly Rowland. 

Sebastian was up against Sapphire Tamalemai in The Battles, with the pair taking on Sia's Titanium. Watch their performance below. 

While Sebastian was selected for the Play-Offs, Tamalemai was 'saved' by judge Boy George and will also continue in the competition.

WA artist Matt Evans, who fronts local rock outfit Atlas Chasers, also had an interesting night which saw him pair up with Janie Gordon (Gordon previously made an appearance on the 2017 NYE On The Hill line-up). 

Evans and Gordon took on Taylor Swift's Lover with judge Delta Goodrem then choosing for the Evans and Gordon to continue in the competition as a duo. 

According to TV Tonight, the show was the second most popular entertainment program of the evening with 866,000 viewers, coming in behind Masterchef with 967,000 viewers.

The Voice continues tonight from 7.30pm on Channel Nine.
