FKA Twigs, Spike Lee, The Middle East & More Announced For Vivid 2019

The Vivid Sydney 2019 line-up is finally here. 

FKA twigs has been announced on this year's Vivid line-up, appearing exclusively at Carriageworks for the festival for one night only, as will previously announced act RÜFÜS DU SOL who will return home for the festival.

Townsville act The Middle East will be reuniting for the Spunk Record 20th anniversary party, which takes place over two nights. They'll be joined at the Friday night event by Jack Ladder and Holly Throsby, while the Saturday will be the final performance from The Ocean Party and an appearance from Emma Russack.

Paul Kelly & James Ledger, Eurovision Australia contestant Kate Miller-Heidke, ZOFO and Concertos On Fire are set to play shows at the City Recital Hall. 

Previously announced act The Cure lead this year's Vivid LIVE line-up at the Sydney Opera House, who will be joined on the bill by Underworld, Maggie Rogers, Sharon Van Etten, Herbie Hancock and Stella Donnelly, while Briggs has announced the Bad Apples House Party featuring Electric Fields, David Dallas, Birdz, Nooky, Kobie Dee, Philly, Rebecca Hatch, The Kid Laroi, Jesswar and DJ Jaytee.

The Dirty Three will perform their self-titled classic album in full as part of Vivid LIVE, with a screening of the Darcy Maine documentary about them showing ahead of the concert. Okenyo will appear at Vivid Art After Hours at the Art Gallery Of New South Wales, following an in conversation from rapper, poet and author Omar Musa and artist Abdul Abdullah.

Director Spike Lee leads the Game Changers, where he will discuss "his personal politics, story-craft and tips for making movies that matter", while Esther Perel will look at modern love in the digital age and Sebastian Smee, Jocelyn Brewer and Holly Throsby will look at the value of 'inner life' in regard to digital distractions.
