Violent SohoCertified Aussie rock legends Violent Soho have extra cause for celebration today ahead of next month's UK release of acclaimed third album Hungry Ghost, with the band becoming the newest signing to fledgling British label Easy Life Records, an affiliate of Sony's Red Music, it has been reported.
As noted by Music Week, the deal comes just ahead of the release of Violent Soho's lauded third LP in the UK, with Hungry Ghost — which has been out in Australia since last September — set to drop there on Monday, 15 June, through their new label home, which also counts under its purview international faves such as Lower Than Atlantis, Big Sixes and veteran outfit Saves The Day.
Easy Life was established in October 2014 by founder Jamie Osman, of Red Light Management, who said of the signing: "We are so excited to be working with Violent Soho and [Australian label] IOHYOU. After tracking their success in Australia, it was something we just had to be involved with. We look forward to building a platform for them here in the UK and Europe. 'Hell Fuck Yeah'."
Back at home, Violent Soho will perform at the forthcoming Big Pineapple Music Festival, on the Sunshine Coast, on Saturday, 30 May. Also appearing on the bill are acts such as John Butler Trio, The Jezabels, Jebediah, Thundamentals, Dune Rats, Coin Banks, Dallas Frasca, The Belligerents, Timberwolf and more.
