It's been a bit of a whirlwind ride for Perth's four-piece Vida Cane, the rockers capping off a hectic 18 months to release their debut record and have just unleashed a number of dates to launch the full-length.
The band, named after lead singer Josh Johnstone's grandmother, only formed at the beginning of 2012 but have released a debut EP, gigged around Western Australia, written some demos and ventured back into the studio for the recent release of the first LP, The Rule Of Gravity.
Their EP, and subsequently offerings on The Rule Of Gravity, were mixed by Andy Lawson of Debaser Studios – who has worked with the likes of Little Birdy and Eskimo Joe, with mastering duties by Leon Zervos of Byron Bay's 301 Studios, bragging partnerships with Aerosmith and Muse.
With radio and television airplay already to their name, Vida Cane plan to continue the success of recent AA-side singles Reloader and Remote Control, releasing the title-track from the LP, The Rule Of Gravity, for additional air-time.
To celebrate, the boys will be taking to the road to play seven dates stretching from Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.
