Veteran Electro-whiz DJ T. Announces 2015-16 Aussie Tour

The Get Physical label boss returns to Australia for a run of four festive shows from Boxing Day

Acclaimed, seasoned performer DJ T. is a titan of 20th- and 21st-century electronic music, keeping his fingers in countless pies across the past three decades in his capacity as a musician and the head of venerated label Get Physical.

Over that time, he's built a reputation and legacy matched by precious few others, and he's bringing his resurgent talents with and love for house music Down Under for four shows from later this month, getting under way at Sydney's Jam Gallery on Saturday 26 December. From there, the German aural pioneer will head to the Railway Hotel, in Melbourne, on Sunday 27 December, going transcontinental to play at All My Friends NYD in Perth on Friday 1 January, doubling back to wrap up at Elsewhere, on the Gold Coast, on Saturday 2 January.

Having been a fixture of emergent scenes in Chicago, Detroit and across the UK, DJ T held several prominent residencies throughout the '90s, having previously helped launch Sven Vath's Omen Club in the late '80s. By the turn of the century, he'd created successful German publication and events series Groove, going on to set up Get Physical with five of his friends back in 2002.

DJ T's curriculum vitae has since blossomed to include event organisation, journalism, A&R work and several business pursuits, but his first love has always been the music — and, hot on the heels of recent return to Chicago (partially credited with reigniting his current passion for the jacking house beats on which he made his name), Australian audiences are the next in line to see one of the genre's finest and most experienced in action.
