Vera Blue Details New Album 'Modern Rituals,' 2026 Australian Tour

Vera Blue is gearing up for an epic return to the stage. Today, she’s shared the details surrounding her forthcoming album, Modern Rituals, and her first headline tour of Australia in four years.

Blue’s new album is scheduled for release on Friday, 21 August, via Island Records/Universal Music Australia. Accompanying today’s pair of announcements, Blue has unveiled a new single, Rituals. Check out the music video below.

Upon penning her latest record, the singer – real name Celia Pavey – came to the realisation that her stage name, Vera Blue, was not, in fact, a separate entity from her inner self. Finding that the two are one, the light-filled Modern Rituals was born.

The Regular Touch hitmaker teamed up with Grammy-nominated producer Lachlan Bostock (Dom Dolla, ODESZA) for the creation of the new single Rituals. The delicate, sparse track – the album opener – is all about Pavey’s journey of self-discovery.

She explained, “Rituals is about learning to witness every version of yourself with honesty and compassion. Embracing the emotional patterns, sensitivities, and complexities that shape who we are, rather than constantly trying to fix them. I’m so proud of this song and how special it was working on it with Lach Bostock.”

For the first time since 2022, Vera Blue is embarking on a national headline tour. Before the shows begin, she’ll join the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for Vera Blue x MSO Orchestral Veil on Saturday, 11 July.

The tour commences with an album launch show at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Friday, 21 August. It continues at Sydney’s City Recital Hall on Saturday, 22 August, Canberra’s UC Refectory on Sunday, 23 August, Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Wednesday, 26 August, Adelaide’s The Gov on Thursday, 27 August, and concludes at Perth’s The Rechabite on Friday, 28 August.
