Velociraptor Launch LP In "Stripped Back" Mode

The Brisbane band scale things back for their mini-LP launch tour, remain largest band in Australia.

While they are usually Australia's favourite 12-piece, cacophonous garage rock beast, Brisbane's Velociraptor have announced today that they are heading out on the road but without a couple of guitarists (the DZ Deathrays endless world tour has re-commenced and the hologram technology just wasn't going to work this time around) putting them in intimate, five-guitarist mode for this tour, which comes on the back of their mini-LP The World Warriors.

It has literally been years since the band released something, but The World Warriors is worth the wait; the vinyl and digital versions of the album ought to be the soundtrack to any half-decent summer party happening around the country over the coming months. It's out on Friday 7 September and a few weeks later the people of Sydney, Wollongong, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Melbourne and, for the first time, Adelaide, will get to enjoy the madness that is a Raptors show.

Dates are below and keep your eyes peeled for more exciting Velociraptor content in the coming week or so..

Thursday 4 October – GoodGod, Sydney
Saturday 6 October – The Patch, Wollongong
