Brisbane's Valley Fiesta has announced it's 2013 line-up with Architecture In Helsinki headlining the festival.
Now we know that Brisbane has been popping up on your musical map a lot lately, especially since Bigsound has only just wrapped up, but now the city of the north has another awesome festival for everyone to get excited for.
Valley Fiesta is an annual festival that takes place in Brisbane's infamous Fortitude Valley. The district is home to many wonderful music venues such as Bowler Bar, Alhambra Lounge, Black Bear Lodge and Oh Hello which are all also conveniently a short walk away from each other. Bigsound generally utilises these venues, however Valley Fiesta plans on taking over the streets of Fortitude Valley for an exciting two days that Brisbane people can just rock up to if they feel so inclined.
In 2012, Valley Fiesta featured acts who have blown up since their appearance at the festival such as: FLUME and VIOLENT SOHO, and this year sees some of 2013's most popular acts all coming together for the festivities. ALISON WONDERLAND will be returning to Brisbane alongside ARCHITECTURE IN HELSINKI, WORLD'S END PRESS, JACKIE ONASSIS and THE SWISS. Valley Fiesta is also showcasing some of the rad local talent that Brisbane has wriggling around; DUNE RATS, MAJOR LEAGUES and THE CAIROS will also be playing the festival, so really you can't miss this.
Valley Fiesta is a FREE EVENT so you have no choice but to go if you really love seeing awesome bands do their thing. It's also all ages so the youngin's are all welcome as well so you know it's going to be big when your little brother is allowed to go.
