US Rapper Sets World Record With Crazy 24-Hour Rap Marathon

14 October 2016 | 8:04 pm | Staff Writer

“Fuck it, I’m outta here have a nice life everyone."

US rapper Murs has successfully completed a 24-hour rap marathon to not only set a new world record but raise month for charity.

He soared into the Guinness World Record with a freestyle rap stemming from his own Better Than The Best 2007 single, joined by long-time friend and collaborator Mr Len.

“Fuck it, I’m outta here have a nice life everyone,” Murs said as he reached his goal – a nod to his latest LP, 2015’s Have A Nice Life.

He casually gets up, and walks off screen; no doubt exhausted and unable to truly convey the excitement or any other feelings reaching such an impressive feat conjures up.

The record was overseen by two Guinness World Record representatives and required Murs to rap his own material as well as commercial releases with one five minute break allocated each hour.
