American post-hardcore band Slaves, who released their new single I'd Rather See Your Star Explode a week ago, have announced they'll be returning to Australia for a headline tour in August.

I'd Rather See Your Star Explode is the first single released since they broke up and then quickly reunited last year. The band, now consisting of Jonny Craig, Colin Vieira and Weston Richmond, aren't looking for any new members but are likely to bring people in for the tour.

The Californian band, who are set to release their third studio album this year, will be heading to Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney and Brisbane with special guests Awaken I Am.
